SUMMARY
The incidence of psychological workplace injuries is increasing and the effect of psychological state on the return to work process is clearly acknowledged.
Our Psychologists are trained in effective use of psychological injury prevention and management to minimise the impact of psychological injury to the workplace and its employees.

1. PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
A complete range of comprehensive Psychological Assessments is available to match an individual's psychological status as well as the specific needs of the worker, employer and insurer.
Areas that can be assessed include:
Current psychological state
Personality and emotional status
Depression and anxiety status
Cognitive functioning
Coping abilities
Barriers for returning to work
Prognosis for returning to work
Following the Psychological Assessment, our Psychologists will provide recommendations on treatment and return to work in a comprehensive report.

2. WORKPLACE STRESS COUNSELLING
Workplace stress can affect productivity, absenteeism and a worker's physical and emotional well-being. Our Psychologists can provide counselling that will assist workers and employers to identify stressors in the workplace, recognise symptoms of stress and implement stress management techniques.

3. PAIN MANAGEMENT COUNSELLING
Pain management counselling can help those who suffer from chronic pain. Our Psychologists can provide counselling that will assist injured workers to manage pain in a variety of different ways other than resorting solely to medication, inactivity and surgery.

4. DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY COUNSELLING
Depression and anxiety counselling can help to treat and manage those who suffer from depression and/or anxiety. Our Psychologists can provide counselling that will assist injured workers to develop skills in managing their mood, and behaviour as well as unhelpful thought patterns associated with depression and anxiety

5. ADJUSTMENT TO DISABILITY COUNSELLING
Adjustment to disability counselling can help to manage those injured workers who are having difficulty adapting to life changes following an injury. Our Psychologists can provide counselling that will assist injured workers in coping with the changes that chronic pain and disability may have brought to their life.

6. TRAUMA AND CRITICAL INCIDENT COUNSELLING
Trauma and critical incident counselling can help those who require debriefing following a workplace trauma. Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) can be provided in both the acute and post traumatic phase and can be the determining factor in an individual's response at a later stage.
